It was a bit of a different AGM for us this time around… held on a Wednesday evening in January on Zoom. We would like to thank all those who braved the technology and joined us – here are a few of the highlights.

Our Chairman, Jane Kempton opened the meeting and after welcoming members walked through some Zoom etiquette (who knew that was a thing!). As expected 2020 was a very tough year, but we pulled together and managed to put on a few fantastic events.

Our Back Steppers Clinic and Open Show were well attended, we achieved a glorious Social & Practice Camp Weekend offering everything from training, cones fun, world cup competition, trec skills, glorious tracks around Tenantry Farm for casual use and the inauguration of the Wheelbarrow Evolution! Our indoor season for 2019/2020 went off without a hitch, but sadly the Keysoe Championships were cancelled – this indoor season so far we have been grateful to be able to hold our October and December events and our fingers are crossed for February and March!

As always we are very thankful to the committee members that continue to give up their time to run our club and we are pleased to say that the entire 2020 Committee are un-changed and supporting us through 2021. Our 2021 Charities

In 2020 the club voted to support three Air Ambulance charities with our fundraising activities (Hampshire & IoW / Kent, Sussex & Surrey / Wiltshire), a lack of funds raised in a tricky year means that we have decided to continue to support them this year to achieve a more substantial donation for them.

2021 Events

We know we are going to face serious challenges this year due to the Covid situation and are considering carefully what type of events are the most sensible to plan ahead for – see below. All SCDC events are subject to the latest Government guidance and landowner permission, yet if circumstances allow – more competitive events may be scheduled later in the year and at more short notice.
