The annual Lisa Joyce One Day Event was held at Lowhill Farm, near Winchester on 11th August, by kind permission of Roger and Sue Page.

“A lovely day at the Lisa Joyce Memorial One Day Event at Lowhill today. This feels like an Oscar’s speech but I really want to say just how wonderful it is to be involved with a club that steps up and helps each other.

It is a bit daunting to know you have a competition to set up (and pack away) but not this time – the people who came forward and did their bit was inspiring! From those who came on Friday to set up, to those who came today to steward, judge, score, pack away, clear the marathon course and those that brought a gift to say thank you. It is all of us that make an event for each other, and the smiles today said it all!

A special thank you to my co-organiser Jane Kempton, she was a huge help on the day and in the weeks leading up to the event. Again, it is great knowing you are not on your own.

And a huge well done to all our compatitors.”
