A New Chapter for the Southern Carriage Driving Club

The Southern Carriage Driving Club is entering an exciting new phase, and we are delighted to share this moment with our members and the wider driving community.

With a newly appointed committee, renewed energy, and a clear vision for the future, we are opening a fresh chapter while proudly honouring the strong foundations on which the club was built.

For many years, the Southern Carriage Driving Club has played an important role in supporting and promoting carriage driving across the region. Thanks to the dedication of past committees and volunteers, the club has grown into a welcoming and respected community. We are deeply grateful to those who have served on our committee in recent years. Thank you to Julia Crockford, Kayti Harvey, Jane Dunsden, Jane Kempton and Helen Annema — your time, experience, and passion have shaped the club we enjoy today, and we are committed to continuing that legacy.

Looking ahead, there has never been a better time to get involved. The new committee is planning an exciting calendar of events, including training opportunities, inclusive competitions, and social activities designed to bring members together both on and off the driving field. Whether you are an experienced driver or completely new to the sport, you will find a warm welcome and plenty of opportunities to learn, connect, and enjoy carriage driving.

Our goal is simple: to bring people together to enjoy carriage driving in a supportive, social, and vibrant environment. We believe the strength of our club lies in its members – sharing knowledge, encouraging one another, and celebrating progress at every level.

As we move forward, we remain committed to preserving the traditions of the Southern Carriage Driving Club while embracing new ideas to ensure its continued success. We invite you to join us and help make this season our best yet.

We look forward to welcoming you.
