The skills in each class will closely represent those seen in Trec, Attelage d’Tradition and horse agility.  Singles and multiples will compete in the same class.

Classes – £7:00 SCDC members per class; £8:00 non-members per class

1. In hand skills 14:2hh & under *#6. Driven skills Over 14:2hh *
2. In hand skills Over 14:2hh *#7. Long reining UK Club Dressage (walking) *#
3. Long reining skills 14:2hh & under *#8. Long reining Cones *#
4. Long reining skills Over 14:2hh *#9. Driven Cones *
5. Driven skills 14:2hh & under *Special rosettes for
* small ponies and donkeys (under 11hh)
# young stock (2 & 3yr olds)

Classes 1 to 6 are judged 75% on training/manners & 25% on turn out/conformation.

Class 7 will be judged according to the Long-reining UK rulebook. The Club dressage test can be downloaded HERE.

Classes 1, 2, 3, 4 & 7 – In Hand & Long reining

  • open or blinkered bridles; bit-less bridles or smart fitting head-collars are accepted
  • colts & stallions must wear bitted bridles
  • roller or driving harness is required for the long reining class
  • smart dress is accepted only

Classes 5 & 6 – Driven

  • bitted bridles, open or blinkered are accepted
  • hard hats are mandatory and smart dress is accepted
  • all turn outs require their own capable groom, who may be on foot for small pony or donkey with a 2 wheel vehicles

Classes 8 & 9 – Cones

  • bitted bridles, open or blinkered are accepted
  • hard hats are mandatory,  body protectors are recommended
  • smart dress or smart marathon dress is accepted
  • all turn outs require their own capable groom, who may be on foot for small pony or donkey with a 2 wheel vehicles
  • cones will be judged on ‘optimum time’ (not ‘fastest wins’)

Notes:

  • Participants should note that classes 7, 8 & 9 may run in parallel to classes 1 to 6 during the day, participants will be advised once confirmed.
  • The venue, a working stud, requires that all visiting horses, ponies and donkeys must have had a flu vaccination within the last 12 months and no less than 7 days before the event. Please maintain good bio-security as recommended by BEF and do not approach the resident horses.
  • Passports should be presented when collecting numbers from the secretary
